Madonna has always been a huge fan of the Italian Dolce & Gabbana brand and maintains a firm friendship with the two designers behind the label, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana who admire the iconic singer and actress due to her sophisticated but unique sense of style and her vibrant and ambitious personality. The design duo designed the costumes for the starâ€™s Girlie Show Tour in 1993 and Madonna has also featured in a number of Dolce & Gabbana advertising campaigns in addition to having pieces designed using her as the main inspiration.
